iSi Flex-it

Silicone Tools

Measuring Cup Makeover

If you rarely come out of a cooking experience unscathed, these flexible measuring cups are just what the baker ordered.

They’re made of food-safe bendable silicone. Here’s why that’s so nifty: You can pinch the rim to form a spout, then pour with total precision. It makes less mess, particularly when you’re pouring directly into a narrow space, like a food processor chute. And their rubbery texture is easy to grip, too.

These moldable measuring cups are designed to handle any temperature—from boiling hot liquids to
ice-cold water. The outside stays safe to touch. The rubbery outside surface is easy to grip (no butterfingers).

Another benefit to the silicone design—it won’t break down in heat or react with certain foods.

From amateur bakers to everyday cooks, these cups make measuring, pouring, and prepping a piece of cake.

Grommet Launch Conversation

  • Judiaann

Hi Everyone! We are delighted to have iSi's Flex It measuring cups and bowls featured on the Grommet today.

Sometimes reinventing a traditional tool with modern materials yields wonderful results. The flexibility of silicone allows the edges of bowls and measuring cups to be pinched into points for easy pouring. A simple idea that will make your time in the kitchen more productive. I am here today to answer any questions you have.

Are these for liquid measures or dry measures also marked?

@SG Wathen: These are liquid measuring cups. For dry measuring your measuring utensils should be exact size so you can fill them to the top and level off with a knife to get your precise dry measurement. If you don't need to be so precise with your recipe, cups are listed on the iSi measuring cups, so you could use it for dry ingredients.

I love the idea of these. How sturdy are the for mixing in? My other silicone cookwear is super flimsy.

@MLI: Great question. I will have one of our testers stop by and let you know how it was to work with.

@MLI I used the mixing bowls and found them fine to stir and mix with. They are flexible at the top, but have a sturdy base. It is different from using a glass mixing bowl, but I got used to it quickly.
