Take Your Best Shot

Noah Rasheta got a new smartphone and was disappointed to find the device didn’t work with his tripod mount. Knowing we’ve all got many phone upgrades in our future, he set out to develop a universal holder that would allow any smartphone or mobile device --including iPhones, iPods, Android phones, BlackBerries, and Windows Phone devices -- to connect to a standard tripod. After that, Noah started engineering a portable tripod for smartphones, then he moved onto video stabilizing. Today, Noah’s iStabilizer line has something for all the tech lovers and shutterbugs who want to get more out of their smartphone cameras. The iStabilizer Mount lets you easily attach a smartphone or mobile device to a tripod, without taking your device out of its case. It’s a tiny gadget, but it makes a big difference in photo and video quality. The iStabilizer Mount works with any standard tripod, including the iStabilizer’s Flex (already comes with iStabilizer Mount attached). This portable tripod has three bendable legs so you can easily wrap it around a tree branch, bedpost, monkey bars, car headrest or any other handy structure. For on-the-go shots, iStabilizer’s Smartphone Video Stabilizer uses counterbalancing weights to help steady the camera even when you’re moving. Lightweight and easy to work with, the Video Stabilizer will make your reels worth watching. Smartphone cameras can do a lot these days, but controlling jitter and shakes requires a little extra help -- and iStabilizer delivers.

Hi Daily Grommet fans. As a Smartphone videographer and photographer, I have always been interested in finding a way to take better quality photos and videos on my phone. I wanted to create a solution that was universally compatible with all phones and all cases. What I came up with has totally revolutionized how I capture photos and videos on my phone.

    Hello,

What a great concept! I was wondering if I buy the tripod with the flexible legs, will the phone attachment part be able to detach and work with a regular tripod? Thanks for your time.

Hi, that's a great question! Yes, the Tripod Mount will detach from the Flexible Tripod. That means you can use the Tripod Mount on any standard tripod and you can also use any standard point-and-shoot camera with the Flexible Tripod.

I have this tripod mount and it is great. I use it both with the short little tripod and also directly with a real professional tripod. As far as I am concerned, the killer app is time-lapse photography. Sunsets, sunrises, tides going in and out, etc. I even did a great one of the solar panels being installed on our home - check it out the tripod mount in action on that video here: http://scratchpaperblog.com/2011/11/the-solar-project-installation-process-with-time-lapse-video/. It rocks!

I've been looking for a way to mount a mobile phone on a power wheelchair...looks like this could be a great solution. Can you see why this wouldn't work?

The flexible tripod would make a great stocking stuffer for my son. By when do I need to order to receive in time for Christmas? Delivery location is in Massachusetts. Thanks -- this product looks great!

I've had my stabilizer for quite some time now and I have to say how much I love it. It has come in handy on numerous occasions and it really works.

But, I have a question. I have recently changed phones and it doesn't fit quite fit as well. It kind of pinches the phone, as it's a little larger with the new battery. It's a Razr Maxx. Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Lynn

Hi Lynn, I'm glad to hear that you've enjoyed using our product. We've noticed a trend in smartphone design to make phones wider and we are already working on creating a larger version of the Mount that will work with wider phones. Once this new Mount is available, you will be able to use it with wider phones like your's and it won't be so tight like it is now.
