Butter Churn

Love it. The butter turns out really good, and the churn gets plenty of notice from visitors when they spot it on the kitchen counter. Eager to try out some different recipes for seasoned butters.More > < Less

Kilner Butter Churner is great! Made butter and honey butter for Christmas dinner. Reading instructions is important as the churn mechanism simplysimply slides into jar, doesn't screw on. It takes a bit of getting accustomed to not picking up by handle, as it's
handy ;)
Keep an eye out for the handle screws. Mine wasn't very tight out of the box.

Well crafted, works beautifully

Beautiful butter is produced with little effort and is fun to watch in the making. The churn is sturdily crafted and should last forever. Unfortunately, hello a warning is included in the instructions, the lid does not screw on securely and a messy disaster it was narrowly averted.More > < Less

works quickly

Have only used it once, but it worked very well, in about 4 minutes, not 8 or 10.

Pretty Dang Cool

I bought this because I thought fresh butter would be a great addition to the table. The butter is creamy and fabulous. I do have to say that they need to include more instructions. They don't really tell you how fast to crank the "churn" and you need to crank it FAST to make butter. I churned for 30 minutes - I even YouTubed videos on butter making as I churned. I finally decided to crank it fast and I finally got butter. Do buy the paddles. They are worth it.More > < Less

Turn the handle, get homemade butter.

About Kilner

Homemade Butter

Even if you swear you’re not handy in the kitchen, this homemade butter churner lets you make your own butter in about 10 minutes. It’s as easy as turning the handle.

Kilner has been England’s trusted name for glass since the 1840’s, so they were the right folks to revamp the old-school butter churner.

Theirs follows the original design but with a few modern tweaks. The gears are made from stainless steel to wash easily and avoid rust, while the paddles and lid seal are made from food grade silicone.

All you need is heavy cream and a little effort. When the butter takes shape, you’ll also have buttermilk—a tasty byproduct—to cook and bake with, too.

Once you see how simple it is, you’ll be a churning convert. This 21st century update on the standard churner makes it easy.
