My Mouth is So Happy !!!

1/8/2018 by Natelia

My son bought this for my Xmas present. I absolutely love it. It is fun to use, the butter tastes fantastic, you know what is in your butter, and as a side benefit; you have buttermilk. My first batch is just salted, with Premium fine sea salt. The second batch is flavored with lemon zest. Next I plan to make garlic butter. It is fun, the jar, not at all hard to clean, the most difficult aspect was shaping the stick, and you don't even really need to shape it. Could just put it in a bowl and cover to keep . Thank you so much Grommet for having this in your line of unique items. I had never heard of your site, but I will be back.More > < Less

A gift to our kid's preschool

1/4/2018 by Wanda

I thought this was an amazing gift for our kid's preschool in Telluride, Co., as they learn how certain foods are made, and the science of the event. The teachers were all really excited to get this butter kiln. They said that it actually took them and the kids 30 minutes to make butter, and did it along with butter making songs. They had a blast! They said they had to shake it to make it a thicker consistancy. Any suggestions or pointers as to why it took so long, and what they can do to speed along the process would help future buyers.More > < Less

This is an excellent gift for the head of the kitchen.

1/1/2018 by Robert

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter, and it was a great success. She is an adventuresome cook and heavily into making her own dishes from scratch, growing her own vegetables, and purchasing dairy products directly from a local farm. She has access to fresh whole milk and cream, and on opening her gift immediately began to list the spices and condiments that she could add to her butter from her own garden. I'm ready for the next dinner invitation!More > < Less

Turn the handle, get homemade butter.

About Kilner

Homemade Butter

Even if you swear you’re not handy in the kitchen, this homemade butter churner lets you make your own butter in about 10 minutes. It’s as easy as turning the handle.

Kilner has been England’s trusted name for glass since the 1840’s, so they were the right folks to revamp the old-school butter churner.

Theirs follows the original design but with a few modern tweaks. The gears are made from stainless steel to wash easily and avoid rust, while the paddles and lid seal are made from food grade silicone.

All you need is heavy cream and a little effort. When the butter takes shape, you’ll also have buttermilk—a tasty byproduct—to cook and bake with, too.

Once you see how simple it is, you’ll be a churning convert. This 21st century update on the standard churner makes it easy.
