La LOOP
Eyeglass Holder

In The Loop

Grommet Launch Conversation
-
HI everyone! I’m super excited that Daily Grommet chose to include La LOOP as today’s grommet. I live in Los Angeles, I’m a mom to three children and an entrepreneur. I created La LOOP over 14 years ago out of necessity as I searched for an eyeglass accessory that combined function and fashion – there was nothing on the market that fit the bill. La LOOP’s patented hinge sits at the bottom of stylish and modern necklaces and sets it apart from other eyewear accessories. The hinge uses 360-degree swivel technology to ensure that glasses stay safe and in place, without bending, twisting or falling on the floor. One of my favorite parts of this company is that our customers have the same passion and love for the product that I do! I look forward to answering any questions you might have about La LOOP!
-
What is the length of each style?
-
@ Jennifer
The styles are approximately 25" long. -
I there not a big risk of scratching or damaging lenses with glasses dangling so loose and long from these loops? My sunglasses are prescription and I switch between glasses and sunglasses often but I am not sure this is the answer for me.
-
@ Sue
Sue,
We haven't run into this kind of problem before. Of course, if you are wearing another long necklace that reaches to the length of your glasses and the La LOOP, it might touch your lenses. But, like I said before, we have never run into this problem. -
How well does the Loop hold sunglasses where the arms don't fold flat down? I wear Oakley Flak Jackets and I'm concerned that they could slip out of the Loop holder.
-
@ May
We haven't had any complaints about this. With most of the eyewear on the market, there shouldn't be a problem. But, at the same time, if the arms of your glasses have a big curve, there is a chance that they won't stay in. -
How does it keep the glasses from slipping out of the loop. I work in an environment where I do a lot of bending, stooping, straightening, etc. My glasses are always falling from the "hook them in your shirtfront" scenario.
-
@Catherine The beauty of La LOOP rests in its patented "magical" hinges; found on either side of every loop, the hinges work with gravity and swivel in every direction, moving with the wearer. Glasses stay securely in the loop, flat against you and at your finger tips.
-
I don't understand the "patented degree" movement. Is that function advantageous to wearing them as you are moving about, or when you try to remove them from the ring? What makes this different from any necklace with a loop? Please explain.
-
@ lisad The patented loop has swivel hinges on either side of the loop to enable the glasses to stay in the loop. You can run around town, bend over, turn quickly, etc. and, because the hinges on the loop swivel 360 degrees, your glasses are guaranteed to stay in place. This way you avoid stretching the arms of your glasses by putting them on your head or having them fall out of your shirt front.
-
I'd like to know how your device is held together in the back-- magnetically, or do you just slip it over your head?
-
@ jane Hi Jane! The majority of our necklaces slip over the head - in fact all the styles sold on Daily Grommet slip over the head.
-
Elizabeth - These ARE modern and fresh. I have a pair of Coach sunglasses. When the arms are closed, it measures 2 1/4 inches from the nose piece to the arms. In other words, right across the center of the glasses. Do you think that is too curved for The Loop? Carrying that bulk Coach case as been a real pain, particularly dashing in and out of stores. lol
-
@ Elen this is one of the reasons I created the La LOOP! Bulky sunglass cases can be such a burden when you're on the go. The curve of your sunglasses should not be a problem. What you have to look out for is the width of the temples of your glasses to make sure they will fit in the loop. Depending on the style, some of our loops are 23mm and some are 30mm.
-
@Elizabeth Faraut Okay. The width of the temple is 23mm. I should be fine with any of them then. Correct?
-
Hi Elizabeth,
At the very beginning of the Daily Grommet video, you show a silver La Loop. What is the name of that one & what is the cost? It doesn't look like the antique silver you're offering on this site.
Thank you, -
@Janet The La LOOP shown at the beginning of the video is style # 059, the Sterling Silver Square Link - $720. If you're interested, contact Daily Grommet's customer support team and they will put you in touch with me.
-
Okay, thank you
-
Is La Loop not being shipped to Canada?
-
@Elen Yes La LOOP will ship to Canada. You can check with Daily Grommet Customer Service for any details regarding shipping.
-
Love the concept! I would purchase the Antique Gold in a minute but the price is WAY TOO HIGH!
-
Hi Michy,
We're glad that you love the product. We feel strongly about making it a Grommet because of it's quality and that it's such a fantastic problem solver. These aren't just any eyeglass holders...they really are a piece of jewelry and works of art. There are a variety of price points and products available on our site. We encourage you to browse around and get to know us. -
Signed up today for daily grommet because
it seems very interesting. If the price of the
loop is any indication of high end costs for products I may as well unsubscribe.
Really almost $800. for an eyeglass holder? -
Hi there,
If you click on the options on the right hand side of the page (above add to cart) you'll see the majority of the La LOOP's that we are selling are between $25 and $56. We understand that some of the higher priced items aren't in everyone's budget, and that's precisely why we value offering a wide range of prices for all of our customers. -
Way to pricey for my blood!!! I will go to a department store and get something nice for maybe $5.99 or less that has pretty much the same concept, they now have an aray of fashions in them now.
