About Lammily

Real Life Dolls

Nickolay Lamm noticed a lack of realistic dolls when he was out shopping for his niece’s birthday gift. So he decided to make his own, and found himself at the beginning of a positive body image trend.

After lots of research, he built a prototype with a 3-D printer based on the proportions of a typical young woman. Once the world saw an image of his creation online, the feedback was overwhelming. Nickolay turned to crowdfunding to meet the demand for his realistically-shaped Lammily dolls.

Kids are encouraged to name the dolls themselves, and each one comes with a fun backstory. To make them even more unique and true to life, kids can apply Lammily Marks. This sticker set personalizes the dolls with characteristics like birthmarks, freckles, and glasses.

Nickolay didn’t know he was on his way to shaking up toy store shelves during that shopping trip, but now his dolls encourage acceptance for every type of body—an important lesson for kids and grown-ups alike.
