Toasty Slippers

Cold floors lead to icy toes, naturally, and then to these wool felt slippers. But Lasso slippers are a bit different from the rest. They’re made from one piece of wool felt that arrives flat for you to turn into toasty slippers. With just a few minutes, and some colorful laces, the slippers take shape and are ready to wear. Founder Gaspard Tiné-Berès was studying design in London when he put his education to good use. He DIY-ed some leftover wool felt scraps and sneaker laces into makeshift slippers. His feet felt warmer, but he kept working on his design until, 164 prototypes later, he was finally satisfied. Gaspard appreciates a minimal approach, so his slippers look streamlined, and are made with minimal tooling and materials, too. Genuine leather soles add more insulation to the already super warm wool, and extra laces let you switch up colors—if you’re ever willing to take them off.

Hi. The sizing chart isn’t opening for me, says its a bad address. Could you send me the US sizes also and, what if you’re a half size, do you recommend going up or down a size? Thanks much!

@Peggy hi Peggy, yes they are true to size, but if you are in between two sizes or you have a doubt, we advice to choose the smaller one

as the felt will take the shape of your feet after a week, rather have them slightly tight at the begining then loos.

@Gaspard Your size chart doesn't seem right. I wear a U.S. size 8 and European size 37-38. Also, I believe the U.K. has totally different sizing. I feel your price is much too high for a piece of felt and some shoelaces.

@Margaret Hi, thanks for the comment, it is the size chart that we have been using so far and we didn't get any bad feedbacks about it from our American customers so far. We will edit a printable size chart here asap in case you are not sure.

As for the price, we understand that it can seams high for the american market but, it's not any piece of felt, it's a piece of 90%-top-quality-locally-sourced-wool and it's felted in northern Italy using only the solar energie produced on site. The rest it is all made in France by people with stable jobs, health inssurance and fair wedges, this is unfortunately the true coast of all of that, and we are not keen to compromise eather on our social nore environmental values.

    10/31/2017 11:46 AM

@Pamela Hi Pamela. Yes they are thight with a knot inside but you can also do it outside with loops if you want, we like to make it inside because we think it looks more neat to us...

    10/31/2017 1:23 PM

@Denise It is a simple double knot like one you would do on normal shoes. If you look on the 6th picture you can seethat there is a piece of the laces left on the begining, so you just knot thios part with the other end.

    10/31/2017 11:49 AM

@Loretta J Hi Loretta. Yes they are washable but we advice to wash them inside the cotton sleeve that we use as packaging, so that the felt is protected from the washing machin drum. Also, be aware that the felt is made out of pure natural wool so you need to use the same program you would use for a merino sweater.

@Bob yes, one of the key point of the material that we use is that it's shaping on your feet, so you can start with them slightly lose if you really have a wide feet and then re-tight them after a couple of weeks, they will shape nicely.
