Lewis N. Clark

ElectroLight Backpack & Duffel

Compact Bags

Made of durable silnylon, ElectroLight bags weigh in at just under three ounces and are made to last. These collapsible backpacks and duffels are not only compact, they’re durable and well-constructed, too.

Available in bright, sporty colors, Lewis N. Clark makes the bags resistant to water and stains. When you’re not using them, they scrunch into compact pouches for easy travel and storage.

The ElectroLight Backpack is equipped with non-slip, adjustable straps—convenient for students and backpackers as well as
travelers. Because it’s so light, you don’t have to worry about carrying the extra weight of a bag. The duffel also has a non-slip strap and is ideal for travel and going to the gym.

A minimalist ElectroLight backpack or duffel is a travel essential. Pull it out of the pouch or pack it in your luggage—these bags are always ready for an adventure.

    Hello everyone! I'm proud to introduce Lewis N. Clark pack-away bags to The Grommet. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have!

    How much weight can they carry?

  • Bob

    8/25/2015 1:19 PM

    @Loren this is recommended for a day pack use, it has a burst strength of about 60 lbs, but I would keep your load light. It's perfect for jackets, a book, souvenirs, towels for a trip to the beach etc.

    Are there any compartments or is one open area?

  • Bob

    @Brad the backpack has an internal pocket with hook and loop closure and the duffel bag has an external zip pocket.

    @Debra it is not, it is manufactured in China.

    It's great that it's so light weight and will pack down quite small for travel. However, curious about what it will hold... For example typical use might be a day hike where one might need a couple bottles of water, a camera, a snack, bathing suit and a cell phone. And with those items in it, how binding are the straps?

    @Carol this is perfect for day trips on a hike or to the beach. The burst strength on the nylon rip stop material is around 60 lbs, but that is too much weight to carry comfortably in the bags. these are really more perfect for an extra change in clothing, a water bottle, towel, book, wallet, snacks, anything you need for a quick trip.

    I love the fact that this is light, sturdy, and relatively inexpensive. I am not a student (by several decades), nor do I backpack. I would like this for use in my daily life, but in a less obtrusive color--all black, for instance, or even all charcoal. No neon, please, and only one color.

    @Donna we do offer the packs in a charcoal and blue as well as a charcoal and red version. We can make your suggestion to The Grommet.

    @Bob

    I do not see the two choices you mention here in the pull down for ordering. Just the bright blue and neon and black and neon. How do I order the charcoal and red? I'd like one of those! :)

    Thanks!

    @Bob

    Well I'll buy a black and red one when it's available. I wouldn't like the neon colors. Black and red will match my luggage!

    Thank you!

    Hi all, we will be sticking with the current colors for now. Though it is always a possibility we add in the others. Stay tuned!

    Different circumstances than most. The backpack would ride on the back of my Power Chair, as a Go Bag for my Service Dog. Paper towels, poop bags and a bottle of water. Will this work??

    @Bob this should not be a problem, they are designed to be like a standard back pack, just lighter in weight.

    I was hoping to purchase two of the backpacks but one of each color (so we can know who's is who's in my household). Is there an option for me to do this and still get the discount? Right now it only allows me to pick one color.

    Hi Holly, yes indeed! You will see the price rule activate when you get to check out. It will recognize the quantity and you'll get the discount!
