Lipault Luggage

0% Foldable Packing Cases

Ready to Roll

Nobody wants to carry around extra weight, and François Lipovetsky makes sure his luggage doesn’t have an ounce of unnecessary baggage. François ran a travel store in Paris for many years, and he used to design luggage for Air France. Now François has his own luggage line -- named after his nickname, Lipault -- that reaps all the benefits of his global travel expertise.

Lipault’s 0% Foldable Luggage has the details you expect of top quality bags -- durable fabric, retractable aluminum handles, reinforced wheels, and
self-healing zippers -- plus some innovative extras. The two-wheeled suitcases and duffels are lean and light, yet they can hold plenty of clothes since Lipault kept the structure of the bag to a minimum. The colors are rich and distinctive, so your luggage won’t get lost in the baggage-claim chaos. When you’re not traveling, each piece collapses so it’s small enough to fit in a 4-inch deep polyurethane bag that’s easy to store under a bed or in a closet.

When you’re ready to travel, Lipault bags are ready to roll.

Grommet Launch Conversation

  • Laasya

Hey there! My name is Laasya. I love working for Lipault which is an international brand that has a terrific sense of style. It is very exciting to see the brand develop in the short time since it was launched in the US. I travel with it everywhere and I love the fact that it’s so lightweight! I live in a cozy New York City apartment and the best part is that my Lipault bag collapses down and fits right under my bed in the storage bag that came with it. I would love to chat with you about the wonderful world of Lipault.

@ TSeeger : So glad to hear that! I found that the 22" Carry-on size is perfect for a weekend trip and for longer trips the 28" size is great for checkin.

Love my Lipault! When I travel, I get positive comments from airline personnel about it. I especially like how well it handles on escalators.

a little disappointed in the video and pictures. An inside shot would have been helpful as well as a side view. The story says 2 wheels, hard to tell with the photos, but the details say 4 wheels. The concept is wonderful but i would have to see better views to decide to buy.

    @Linda McFarland

Thanks, Linda. We can go ahead and email you any additional photos that might be helpful. To answer your question, the suitcase has 2 wheels, sorry for the confusion there. The details tab will also be updated soon with new pictures.

Please confirm if it has 4 wheels or two. Can the 26" be a carry-on?

@Christine Kovich : Hi Christine, the 0% luggage has 2 wheels. The 26" is considered a check-in baggage, not carry-on. Hope that helps!

I would love to see some interior photos. Are there pockets inside? Is there a zipper enclosure on the inside of the lid?

@ Sue P : Hi Sue, There is an interior shot listed under the "Details" tab that you could look at . Yes, there is a zipper on the inside of the lid.

They are lovely and look very roomy. I just don't understand why they are called "0%" fold when they seem to fold nicely into each other? I think I am missing something!

@ Moonmonkey : Great question. The 0% represents the fact that the luggage occupies very little space and weight.

( 0% = No excess weight or space)

Is the front pocket of the Duffle spill proof? Can i put my contact solution in there and not worry about it flowing into the clothes?

  • Laasya

@ Kitkat : Excellent question, Kitkat. Lipault's soft collection is made of durable 100% Nylon Twill with a PVC backing which makes the fabric water resistant but not water proof. If there is spill inside one of the pockets, it may contain most of the liquid from spilling into the main compartment.

Can you give the weights for all the sizes? I travel several times a year and especially when I go overseas for 3 months at a time, weight is one of the biggest concerns.
