Bye, bye brown bag

There’s a new item on the LunchSkins menu and it’s just as eco-friendly as the one that came before it. We first met Kirsten Quigley, Cristina Bourelly, and Jennie Stoller Barakat (aka 3greenmoms) when we helped them launch their reusable snack and sandwich bags, an environmentally-responsible alternative to plastic baggies and aluminum foil. Now from LunchSkins come colorful totes designed to put single-use brown paper bags to shame. The LunchSkins Tote is every bit as simple and lightweight as a paper bag, but its pastry cloth material makes it super durable, food safe and easy to clean. It comes in a variety of fun, contemporary patterns perfect for kids and adults alike. The tote is designed to stand upright for easy access to food during mealtime and fold flat when not in use making it convenient to stow in a backpack, briefcase, or kitchen drawer. When we say easy to clean, we’re not kidding. LunchSkins are dishwasher safe and fast drying. Eat, wash and repeat one lunch after another.

Good morning Grommet lovers! I am onboard today to launch LunchSkins on The Grommet. I am part of the 3greenmoms team who make LunchSkins, reusable snack, sandwich, sub and now tote bags! The staggering statistic that over 20 million sandwich bags from school lunches go into US landfills everyday prompted the start of LunchSkins. Our baggies and totes are food safe and dishwasher friendly. We use them for storing cosmetics, pacifiers, phone cords when travelling and of course for our lunches and snacks. Popping them into the dishwasher is so convenient and we think such an easy way to reduce your daily lunchprint!

The launch day conversation has ended. Please direct further questions about this Grommet to our Community Experience Team.
