Thin & Flexible Wallets

Think Thin

From a California-based company called Allett comes an everyday solution to what they call “wallet butt.” That bulge that bulky wallets create in your back pocket is a problem not only for men of style, but for those who experience back pain as well.

Originally founded by Ken Obenski, these thin wallets are designed to be
lightweight and slim in profile, but still capable of holding more than just a card or two. The idea was born out of necessity about 20 years ago—when Ken experienced sciatic nerve pain—his doctor suggested that his wallet could be hurting his back.

Adam and Bridget Muscat are carrying on Ken’s mission to make wallets that are thin, full-sized, and flexible, yet anything but flimsy. Thanks to Adam's and Bridget’s commitment to American manufacturing, these compact wallets are proudly made using soft Napa leather in San Diego, California.

Available in different configurations depending on your needs, each Allett style features an innovative layout constructed to evenly distribute contents and to bend and flex as you do. Whether you want room for dozens of cards or just a handful, there’s an Allett designed to fit your pocket and your life. Some even include RFID blocking. When it comes to this battle of the bulge, Allet has your back.

    Hi I'm Bridget,

We began this journey with the goal of making a thin wallet that would solve the health problems caused by sitting on a bulky wallet.

Allett is a family owned and operated company. We love what we do, and we care about our employees and our customers. Our approach to business is simple: if we make high quality products that solve an everyday issue, the business will grow.

Thanks to all of you, and The Grommet, for having us!

@Guest There doesn't seem to be an option in the drop-down list for purchasing the "original" wallet. Is it out of stock or unavailable?

    Hi Susan,

Apologies for that. It's available and the drop down should work for you now.

@Guest Aloha Paul! I actually just got off the phone with the inventor of the original wallet. We touch base time to time about the company progress. They live on the big island!

I have been buying Allett wallets for the past 15 years, both on-line and at the San Diego county fair, first for my father, and then for myself (once they started producing a ladies wallet). The one I have is fabric and has a change purse included, which I must have for a wallet. I love it, and get comments on it all the time.

Hi @Kathy! Thank you for commenting about your experience with our wallets! We love to hear from happy customers. Starting with men's wallets was a good option for Father's Day, but we would love to add a women's style to The Grommet selection in the future. Thanks for letting everyone know we have women's styles available too. Have a great day!

IThe poictures don't show what I am looking for in a wallet. Thin Definitley but i prefer an ID picture as I have to show mine often but I need it to hold about 10-12 cards as well as cash. Noticed one of the comments said it had a change purse but I could not fing it. Can you help out.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for your questions. The wallet does have a spot for your picture id that you can easily open and show it. There is no change purse, however it should hold at least 5-6 cards (or more if you want to double them which I do sometimes).

    @Amy @Dave

Hi Dave! Allett does make a coin pocket wallet. That would be a great option to add. Please encourage The Grommet to add that style! We appreciate your feedback very much. It is always helpful to know what customers are looking for in a wallet.
