Orange Screw

Screw-In Ground Anchors

Stay Anchored

Orange Screw is a spiral ground anchor that is a lot tougher than you might think. It handles tents, tarps, and other lines easily and securely, and is Made in the USA from recycled materials.

The sharp screw stakes into all types of soil to anchor just about any line. For added leverage, slide the clear drive tool into the
screw to help drill it into the ground. The drive handle can stay in or pop out.

The smaller screw holds up to 400 pounds, and the larger up to 650. It’s a solution you’ll find yourself using surprisingly often—like on camping trips, at the beach, or at home.

Founder Kirby Erdely is at the helm of this family business. He’s paired his background in design with his family’s love of all things outdoors to create this handy tool.

Hello everyone! I'm Kirby, founder of Orange Screw. I'm very excited to be working with The Grommet to share our family's invention with you. If you've ever experienced a tent stake or ground anchor fail in the wind or rain, you will understand why we wanted to create a better product. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about our innovative ground anchor.

We ordered these from the grommet a week or so ago, my husband and

Son in law needed a way to hold our grandchildren's batting cage down.

We've had lots of wind that knocked it over three times. Using these ground

screws to hold the support poles to the ground has worked! We are so

Happy the Grommet had this solution for us! Great product and fast shipping!

    Thank you!

Would these work well on the beach to hold down a tent in the sand?

@Nina Absolutely. The large Orange Screw was specifically designed to work in sand and loose soils.

Just bought four of these. My biggest dog is 120 pounds, so I'm hoping the small one works! I did buy four individually because I think the storage of the screw in the drive handle is really important. Can't wait to try it!

@Guest The small screw should work fine as long as it is in firm hard soil. Be sure to secure the leash through the main eyelet.

Hello Kirby, about how long would it take for a shipment to arrive? I am leaving for vacation toward the end of next week, and I will place an order if the screws will arrive beforehand. Thanks in advance!

I am SO excited to see this! After years of cheap bending tent stakes or big plastic ones that will not drive into hard ground and slide out of sand I have longed for something like this. I have also been on very windy trips like a Death Valley trip years ago where my tent looked like a flag and I was the pole. So thank you sire and thank you grommet I can not wait to test these out. My only question going in is how easily do they work into dry hard ground and what is the durability like, is there a risk of snapping in wind or if some dooff kicks it?

@Jason Yeah we used to struggle with those classic hammer in tent stakes too. Our Orange Screw is easy to screw into the ground using the included drive tool. It may take some pressure to get it started initially if the ground is extremely hard but once going they screw right in. We make them from a tough plastic that is very durable even in the harshest desert conditions.

Hi Kirby - looks great - and the pricing is great as well. One question - can this be ingested by animals - in case the dog decides to use it as a chew toy - considering it is from recycles materials - and what is to prevent an animal or temperature fluctuation - from breaking this?

@Joann We feel confident using Orange Screw around our pets as a tie down anchor but we cannot prevent your dog from chewing on it. The plastic is a recycled polycarbonate.

What a great idea. I have two small dogs and keep a backpack with supplies for them when we visit friends & family. I'm going to buy a set of the smaller Orange Screws to put in the pack to use as tie-outs. Family-owed company, made in the USA, recycled materials - trifecta! Thank you.
