Pinch Me

Therapy Dough

Relaxing Tool

This scent-infused therapy dough can help you relax—triggering several of your senses.

Disguised as a simple invitation to play, Pinch Me’s sensorial design exposes you to colors, textures, and smells that help you re-center.

Maker Nancy Rothner’s experience with holistic stress reduction compelled her to create a portable
mood-shifter. Carefully curated aromas and calming hues help you refocus your attention by simply massaging this pliable dough.

Squeeze, shape, then store it back in the tin for later. You’ll notice the scent lingers and refreshes even after you’re done playing.

    Hello Nancy, in choosing a "flavor" .. I don't see a description of each... Beach?.. Spa?... are the scents all the same, just different colors? I want to try one but really need to know the scent.

    Thank you,

    C

    @Carmen

    Hi Carmen, The scents are all different. Best sellers have been Spa and Tropics.

    Spa is a lavender fusion and Tropics has a coconut blend. Autumn has a spicy berry

    and has been very popular. Citrus smells like citrus.The Beach and Ocean are more difficult to describe however Beach is softer and Ocean is fresh.

    Since there is a delay in getting our questions posted, there seems to be a bunch of us asking the same question. Your answer here doesn't really answer it. The details mention essential oils as an ingredient. Could you tell us which essential oils are in each? That might help us determine the scent we would like.

    @Annette

    Precisely which essential oils we're using is a trade secret so we can't tell exactly what goes into each one. If you're a fan of lavender go for spa, we highly recommend it.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kevin, it does contain gluten however many of our users are gluten intolerant and have had no issues in using Pinch Me as it is not consumed.

    @Nancy I would be cautious since it contains gluten. I remember getting bone pain (one of the symptoms of my gluten intolerance) in my hands from working with gluten-based paper mache.

    I would like to know what the scents are. You show the lavender colored one and talk about lavender scent, so I am assuming the "Spa" scent is lavender scented. Citrus is a little more obvious - although it could be any of the citrus scents or a combo. The other names give me little to go on. Could you tell us what they smell like?

    Hi Nancy, I am a DAR member and every year our Chapter gives Christmas gifts to the Viet Nam Vets in our local area. Since we are a non-profit organization (and yes, I tried the wholesale site but they require you to be a re-seller) I was wondering what kind of price break we could get on "Pinch Me". I think this would be a wonderful gift for anyone with PTSD.

    Please get back to me at chwarwick at charter dot net.

    Thanks in advance.

    @Annette My father recently passed from Alzheimer's and we used Pinch Me with him. We found that the playful nature was helpful. He enjoyed Autumn as it brought back pleasant memories for him. We can't claim that it will definitely do this, but the tactile element and the scent combination would potentially liven the senses.

    Hi Annette, as Nancy answers above, the precise essential oils are kept under wraps. If you have an allergy or preference for a scent, I'm sure she can point you in the right direction.

    @Annette We appreciate and understand your curiosity in wanting to know more, please understand our need to not disclose our blends of essential oils. We hope this better answers your question.

    Spa is soft and feminine, with just a hint of soothing lavender.

    Tropics is a tranquil coconut fusion.

    Ocean is the reminiscent aroma of the surf - fresh and clean.

    Beach is the relaxing aroma of the sand, sun and surf.

    Autumn is the tart aroma of berries dusted with the subtle scent of spicy cinnamon.

    Citrus is the tangy zest of fresh, ripe fruit. Clean, crisp and refreshing.

    @Nancy I'm so sorry you can't be more specific about the scents. I would have purchased the Citrus, since I like lemon or lime...but orange makes me sneeze. Grapefruit is OK. The term "Citrus" doesn't let me know what I would be getting. This really looks like a fun product.

  • Nancy

    9/23/2016 4:20 PM

    @Annette

    I understand. This version of Citrus has more of an orange base, so it

    most likely won't be for you. There are 5 other options available though.

    Spa has been a consistent customer favorite, followed by Tropics. Hope

    you can find the scent that's right for you!

    Hi Nancy, I work in healthcare and am always cautious about items that might promote bacteria growth. Would you recommend that these be limited to one per individual rather than sharing? I thought they'd be great to have during meetings, but don't want everyone handling them if there might be an issue.

  • Nancy
    Nancy – Special Guest
    9/23/2016 2:46 PM

    @Cecille

    Hi Cecille,

    That's a great question. While bacteria would not be an issue, we do feel that sharing

    one Pinch Me with a large group would not be ideal. Many Pinch Me users like to have their own container.
