Silver Linings

Antimicrobial Shoe Liners

Shoe Salvation

Wear shoes without stockings? Earlier generations might find it scandalous, but today’s style makers embrace the chic comfort of bare legs and sensational shoes. Except for one nagging issue: smelly soles.

Jennifer Chu was tired of seeing beautiful shoes ruined by bare feet, but she wasn’t keen on jamming thick inserts into her snug shoes. So she decided to put her chemistry studies to use and left a career in finance to
create her own odor-fighting inserts, called Silver Linings. These innovative shoe liners are infused with silver-based antimicrobial technology that prevents odor-causing bacteria and fungal growth. Silver has been shown to effectively fend off bacteria, yeast, fungi and molds, and the silver technology in Silver Linings is activated when it comes into contact with microbes.

Silver Linings are deliberately thin, so they won’t ruin the fit of your favorite shoes. The soft fabric absorbs moisture, and the anti-slip back grips shoes without the need for adhesives. There are three pairs per pack, and each pair lasts up to 15 uses. Jennifer’s creation, made in the U.S., is easy and effective. Your feet will feel fresher, and your favorite kicks will last longer.

Hi Daily Grommet fans! I’m excited to be here with you today to show you how great Silver Linings is for all you ladies who like to go sockless. I’m an avid wearer of shoes without socks, and I know how gross and smelly our shoes can get from going sockless. After discovering the antimicrobial benefits of silver, I developed a shoe liner infused with a silver-based technology that keeps shoes clean and feet odor-free.

I'm excited about your product and I'm equally excited about those gray shoes in the video. Who made them? Where did you get them?!!!

@Guest I'm flattered that you are asking about the silver-gray shoes. Those are Elie Tahari and I got them at an ET outlet store in FL a couple years ago. I want them to last forever and will use Silver Linings to help keep the insides fresh.

I am not so much concerned with smelly feet - I have a severe perspiration problem (too many sweat glands) on my soles.

Will these "Silver Linings" take care of that so that I do not need to wear socks?

@Helene Silver Linings are intended primarily for odor, but they do help to absorb some sweat. However, they are designed to be ultra-thin, and the sweat absorption would be similar that of a very thin sock. I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, just let me know. Thanks, Helene!

@Helene - google Botox® for hyperhidrosis - excess sweating- if you haven't read about it before.

really does not adhere to shoes as promised. Difficult on shoes where you have to slide in, always rolls up.

Not going to recommend. Wish I hadn't purchased two boxes.

Thank you so much for trying our product! We're sorry to hear about your experience. The half-shoe length SILVER LININGS are designed to be used in pumps or flats, where the top of the shoe is not fully enclosed so only the forefoot area enters the shoe. For shoes like loafers and sneakers (where you need to slide your entire foot into the shoe), we understand an adhesive would be needed to ensure the liners stay in place. The great news is--a full-length version is currently under development designed specifically for this purpose! These new liners are set to launch later this year, and we would love to send you a trial pair. Please send us an email with your shipping information and I'll make sure you're one of the first to try our new product. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact [email protected] Sincerely, Jenn

@Diane: We'd also like to add that there are more TIPS to help you use the linings in the most effective way in the DETAILS tab of the page where Silver Linings is featured. If the linings are still not "cooperating", please let us know.

Would these work with open-toed shoes? I cannot see how far the silver lining goes or if it is simply "under" the foot--my preference or if it's around? thanks

@ Brenda Thanks so much for your question! If you push SILVER LININGS forward towards the tip of your shoes, the front edge of the liners will appear around the toes. They can be pulled back slightly in small, peep-toed shoes so that the front edge is not exposed. For sandals, we don't recommend this product if you don't want the SILVER LININGS to show. I hope this answers your question.
