Go Slim. Do Good.

YaY Wallets are a funky, ultra-slim alternative to traditional wallets. Made in the USA of durable elastic, these minimalist cash and card holders range in styles from colorful to quirky. And since they’re inexpensive, you don't have to choose just one—switch them up based on your outfit or mood. Founder Sunchea Phou’s story is a touching, important part of YaY Novelty. Born during the Cambodian genocide, Sunchea lost her father and two brothers at the age of one. She spent years in a refugee camp, eventually immigrating to North America where she built a successful fashion industry career (even designing Seattle Seahawks uniforms). But she hasn't forgotten her homeland and their continued challenges. Sunchea started YaY Novelty to help free Cambodians from poverty, poor health, and unsafe drinking water. 20% of YaY’s profits go to her non-profit Year Zero Foundation, to educate children as well as offer clean water and medicine to their communities. That charity works to educate children, in addition to providing communities with basic clean water and medicine. Express your personality—and your compassion—with a YaY Wallet.

@mary I'm guessing no coins, but it looks like you could easily remove the credit cards or cash maybe even with just a push of your thumb. I only wish it had RFID.

Hi Mary, it is easy once you get used to it. You can view the usage technique in Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ls7F4a1d0XY

It's a single slot wallet. You can put some coins but not recommended because it becomes inconvenient to getting the cc in and out.

Linda, I'm currently looking into the RFID version but not sure if it will be doable and effective due to the stretch of the wallet.

@Sunchea That's kind of what I was afraid of. I have an RFID case as well as some RFID sleeves, but it seems to me the sleeves would be a bit of a pain to use inside the YaY. Really do like your idea though!

Linda, anything with pointed corners will be a challenge to use with the YaYwallet. However, you can cut/round the bottom corners of the RFID sleeve and it will help to slide it easier into the YaYwallet.

I now have a HuMn wallet that protects against RFD signals. Can you provide the dimensions of the Yay so I can determine if it could be used together?

Of course it would be even better if you could incorporate RFD protection in your wallet.

Brad, the wallet dimension is 3.75" H x 2.5" W x 0.125" thick without any card. I'm currently investigating on how to incorporate the RFID into a stretch material and yet provide an effective protection.

Rather than incorporate the protection in the stretch material why not create a thin OUTSIDE pocket on both sides. This would enhance the design so you could put $ or license for quick access. For RFID protection the user could place a RFID sleeve in the 2 outside pockets creating a sandwich around the inside cards. The sleeves are thin, flexible and inexpensive. I'm ready to join the design team!

Brad, thanks for your feedback, I very appreciate it. I'm trying to keep the sleek looks and the real estate for graphic. I'm having couple options in mind for the RFID and will test them out soon. At the mean time, users can use the RFID paper sleeve with the wallet if RFID is a big concern for them.

Approximately how many standard sized credit cards can it hold?

James, the wallet can hold comfortably about 10 cards and some cash. You can put up to 15 cards but it will be a little snug and might be a bit difficult to manage.

My husband was wondering if there might be a more subdued image in the future, or even a solid color. He likes the concept, but none of the designs grabbed him.

Elizabeth, I have about a hundred designs including solid black color, and 79 of them are currently on my website (www.yaynovelty.com). I should have the rest in couple weeks. I continue to add more and more prints as the demand increases.
