Cool Pets

These ceramic pet bowls keep your furry friend drinking cool water and eating at a healthy pace. The ceramic is designed to keep water or food fresh for hours. Soak the bowl in cold water to activate its cooling properties. The porous, ceramic surface absorbs it quickly and the outside becomes dry. Then, when you fill it with food or water, it can stay fresh for hours. To promote slower eating, built-in 3D designs on the feeding bowls help prevent pets from gulping down their food (which can cause bloat and indigestion). Magisso is an award-winning, Finnish design collective that sees opportunity in daily obstacles—creating simple, beautiful solutions to everyday problems. With these pet bowls, the smooth, matte surface isn’t just cooling. It looks nice and even doubles as a chalkboard you can label or decorate. We humans love Magisso’s ceramic cooling technology and minimalist designs in kitchenware. Now, happily, our pets can take a woof at it.

Nancy - to be clear regarding your Q "will it keep water cool in 95 degree weather?" Our product when soaked for just 60 seconds prior to use - will maintain the level of "cool" that was filled initially - Our product does not "make it cool". It will maintain the water temp for several hours. The warmer the ambient outdoor temp - the faster the product and contents will warm up. For sure - the testing we have done - far improves the current pet bowl that does not provide any cooling function. Hope that clarifies. Let me know.

Love these, especially since my cats are prone to scarfing! How does the slow feed cat bowl promote slower eating?

@Carly They have to eat around the fish sticking up in the middle so they can't just plant their face in it and scarf it down ???? I haven't used this one but the concept works really well.

@Nancy Hi Nancy and Carly - this is correct. The slow eating bowl with the fish obstacle in the middle - forces the animal to use their tongue more. Their tongue acts like a spoon - therefore slowing them down and eliminates "gulping" ! Our bowls have have tested / reviewed and are used by the Vet Docs at The Animal Medical Center in NYC.

What about Bulldogs - or other dogs who have short muzzles - wouldn't this preclude them from eating altogether? Can't visualize how they would get the food to their mouths with this impediment - and these are the ones most in danger of rapid eating. Also - are these weighted to prevent tipping?

@Joann HI Joann, our pet bowls have been tested with all types of breeds. Dogs and Cats actually pull food into their mouths with their tongues - and this prevents the "gulping" and promotes slow eating. Our bowls are ceramic - they do not move around easily and for sure do not tip. You and your pet will love them.

@Joann You can see a bulldog in our video, though the angle of the shot does not catch the tongue/scoop action Sue clarifies in her comment.
