Mineral Relief

Like soaking in a geothermal spring—minus the actual spring—the natural bath salts from Medicine Springs are a relaxing way to ease away aches and other ailments. The packs are carefully formulated here in the USA by Brandon and Julie Price. Brandon leaned on his experience as a high school science teacher to crack the chemical composition of some of world’s most famous hot springs. Brandon’s mom suffers from arthritis, and after she experienced some relief in a spring, the Price family packed their bags. They traveled around the globe gathering samples from hot springs like Iceland’s Blue Lagoon. After running chemical analysis, they isolated the spring’s unique compounds. They then recreated them in mixes that target specific ailments like joint pain, psoriasis, and eczema. The result of the Price’s hard work is packs that deliver nature’s rejuvenating effects—at home.

@Brandon How are these different from all the other salts on the market?

@Naomi Medicine Springs is very different. We used chemical analysis to duplicate the most healing hot springs from around the world. There is a lot more than epsom salt in each package. There is several types of magnesium, potassium, sodium, bicarbonate, and trace minerals like Boron and Lithium. This is the only product in the world to duplicate hot springs. Thanks for the question! :)

How are your salt different from Dr epsom's salt bath crystals? I use bath salts for two reasons, one to relax tired muscles and two for the magnesium in the salt?

@maria rose Thanks for the question! There is nothing wrong with Epsom, but Epsom is only Magnesium Sulfate. Medicine Springs is made from all the minerals found in the most famous healing hot springs in the world. There are two types of Magnesium, Potassium, sodium, bicarbonate, trace amounts of Lithium, and Boron. We have recreated the best of mother nature! If you like Epsom, you will LOVE Medicine Springs for both relaxing and for it's magnesium content!

@Lisa Absolutely! They are perfectly safe for jetted tubs and bath tubs. They do not harm septic systems and will not harm plumbing or filters.

@Ellen Inside of the Medicine Springs bag there are a series of small packets each containing a different compound. Recreating a hot spring is like baking a cake, there are a lot of ingredients. This saves the geothermal reaction until you put it in the water!! Each package has two complete hot spring bath soaks inside! Thanks for the question!

I read that they are okay to use in jetted tubs or bath tubs. I'm not a plumber, so I don't know if it matters or if the workings are different, but what about a hot tub?

  • Brandon

@carol Hi Carol, They are safe in a hot tub as well. Each package contains enough minerals for 100 gallons in a hot tub so if your hot tub is 400 gallons which is the normal, then you will want 4 bags of Medicine Springs. You will put all of the contents into the hot tub. It dissolves instantly and will not get into the filters or harm the plumbing. You can treat it as normal with your chemicals such as Chlorine or Bromine. It will last up to 90 days in a hot tub!!

  • Brandon

    1/12/2017 11:46 AM

@Karen Hi Karen! Yes, they are all natural. We used chemical analysis of the hot springs to learn what was in them. Once we did this we were able to create our recipes. We only use pure, all natural ingredients with no smell, no color, and nothing in them other than what nature put there! We bring in our ingredients from all over the world in order to make the very best product we could! Thank you for your question! :)

@Phillip Hi Phillip! You can certainly add any fragrances or aromatherapy you would like! We have not added any fragrance to the product and we also removed the free sulfur which is normally present in a hot springs giving it the rotton egg smell so there is not smell at all with the product.

@Kelly Hi Kelly, Thanks for the question. There is no smell at all. It is fine to add anything you would like to it, but we kept it all natural without adding anything to it. The only thing we took out was the free sulfur so your bathroom doesn't smell like rotten eggs! :)
