In The Nude

It took three USC business grads, none of whom had any previous fashion experience, to solve men’s undershirt problem—unattractive, blinding white cloth that is baggy and visible through your button-down. If a man cares enough to wear an expensive dress shirt, he should get an undershirt worthy of what’s on top. Enter the Invisible Undershirt. Each one is made with a luxuriously soft blend of three double-spun, moisture-absorbing fabrics that are strong and long-lasting. A touch of spandex helps the undershirt fit snug, without feeling constricting, and the sleeves won’t bunch up on your arm. Plus the shirt is long enough to stay tucked in, with a V-neck designed to disappear behind your regular collar. Made in the USA, the Invisible Undershirt is machine washable and made to hold its shape. Best of all, it comes in neutral skin tones that blend with, instead of contrast against, your body. Welcome to wearing a grown-up undershirt.

Hello Grommet! We believe that the perfect undershirt is one that fits great, feels great, and is completely invisible to those around you. With that in mind, we're proud to present the Invisible Undershirt by Sloane Men to The Grommet. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.

@Thomas Yes our undershirts are more than a typical cotton undershirt. In the premium undershirt market we are actually at the low end. Our shirts are crafted with a high quality material using Siro Micro Modal for a soft, buttery feel that is breathable without compression. Additionally, our shirts are made in the USA. We advise new customers to give our shirts a try and return with no hassles if they are not completely satisfied!

The information does not make clear which color is smoke, sand or scotch. Can you please tell me from lightest to darkest the order? My husband likes to wear an undershirt with some of his fine fabric polo shirts, but it looks wrong. I'm hoping this will be a solution.

@Rashmi Great question! Our shirts progress from light to dark with Sand being the lightest, then Scotch, then Smoke. We typically recommend going with the darker color if you feel you are in between skin tones. Hope that helps!

@Michael Thanks for answering the above question, I was about to ask it as well. The Sloane Men website does a better job at indicating which color is which. It would be great if The Grommet could make some changes to their site to do the same. Thanks

Hi all, if you select the color and size it will bring up which shirt it actually is. You could also hover your cursor over the image you can see which one it is at the bottom.

With the exception of the price, how is this different from Champion or Jockey undershirts 2% spandex that are equally form fitting, invisible, moisture wicking and packaged three to a package for less than $30. That is three shirts from major retailers for less than one of your shirts!?! You have a shirt that is similar to others on the market and costs three times as much? Public education, huh?

@Ken Hi Ken, thanks for your comment. We think of under armour as more of an athletic undershirt made with polyester. Our shirts provide a very different, softer, and more buttery feel. Additionally, the primary benefit of The Invisible Undershirt is that it is made to be invisible under your outer shirt! Our customers love the fit and feel our our shirts compared to their previous undershirt and the seamless that can be achieved under their dress shirts.

Hi all, another important factor to consider with the comparatively higher price point is that these shirts are made entirely in the USA. So in addition to a durable, soft shirt, you know you're paying for manufacturing here.

How about sizing? Do they run true to size? If you buy medium sport shirts - medium in your t-shirt?

@Marie L Yes they run true to size. Keep in mind that our shirts are made to be fitted, but without compression. Additionally, they are longer than a typical t-shirt so you can pull it down and keep it tucked in all day long.

@Craig We appreciate your feedback. Our pricing is line with other premium undershirt brands such as Tommy John, Mack Weldon, and Spanx. Additionally, our product is made in the USA and all materials are sourced locally in Los Angeles. Most importantly our shirts are invisible and provide a seamless look under your dress shirt. We believe our product provides more benefits than the traditional white cotton undershirt.
