Adventure-Ready Wine Tote

There’s a lot to love about party-friendly boxed wines. They hold a lot of wine, they chill quickly, they’re easy to seal, and they won’t shatter if you drop them. But aesthetically, boxed wines aren’t very appealing. To give them a new look, Jakob Wagner of Danish design firm Menu decided to think outside the box. Menu’s Baggy Wine Coat is designed to carry a bladder from boxed wine. The Coat-like bag is made with durable nylon, and it has a nonslip rubber base to keep it steady on any surface -- countertops, beach blankets, picnic tables, or the deck of a sailboat. To use it, simply remove the wine bladder from the box, put it inside the Baggy Wine Coat, position the nozzle, and fold down the flexible top. It holds up to three liters, and there’s room for an ice bag, too, to keep wine cool. The Baggy Wine Coat has an easy, casual vibe. It’s like your favorite handbag, and it is always party-ready.

Hi Everyone, I am so excited that Daily Grommet is featuring Menu’s baggy wine coat. As a Dane I am used to great boxed wine, as the same wine typically is sold both in bottles and in the box – it’s like “buy three get one free." Menu is a Danish design company that works with many different designers and in this case I believe Jakob Wagner, the designer of the baggy wine coat, hit a homerun. Hope you like it too.

The conversation surrounding each Grommet happens in several places each day. Here, on our website -- but also on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. Today we're loving the places our community is planning on taking their Menu baggy wine coat. We've heard: The spa, the movies, the beach, the park, game night at friends' houses (sounds like this is one Grommet that will travel well!).
