Microplane Pedicure Care Tools

Foot Files & Buffers

Happy Feet

Whether you’re dealing with dry winter skin or prepping for sandal weather, you don’t have to make the trek to a salon to rejuvenate your cracked and calloused feet. With professional-quality tools, you can give your feet the spa treatment right in the comfort of your own home.

Microplane’s XL Pro Foot File and Orb-Style Foot Buffer is made of surgical-grade stainless steel to remove flaky skin and buff away rough spots. The
XL Pro has a long, curved handle to make it easier to reach the undersides of your feet, and its filing and buffing cartridges are replaceable. With the Orb-Style Foot Buffer, you don’t need to soak your feet first. It works best as a finishing step after or between foot filings.

Both pedicure tools come from Microplane, an Arkansas company with an ingenious micro-file design that easily and effectively removes dust-like particles of skin. Tiny perforations spread across the surface of the tools gently dislodge dead skin without tearing or shredding the baby-soft layers underneath.

For at-home pedicure maintenance -- and for people who prefer to skip the salons altogether -- Microplane’s foot files and buffers can help you put your best foot forward.

Grommet Launch Conversation

  • Amy

Hello Grommet Community! I'm Amy from Daily Grommet, filling in for the Microplane Team today. We're very excited to launch Microplane today because we all know how lovely soft, well pedicured feet look and feel. There are many products out there that aren't salon quality and they might do a decent job. Yet Microplane makes it easy to have top quality products at home and for a reasonable price. So go ahead and treat yourself or someone else and be sure to let us know any questions you might have.

I would totally have preferred to buy this one since it was made here, but alas, some time ago I got "that one they were selling on the TV infomercial" when I found it on sale in a discount store (same price as this, but made overseas). I can attest that it does the job. But you do want to buff the skin surface after you "shave" it down for best results. Another downfall of the one I got is that it has replacement blades and buffing/sanding pads which can only be purchased from the maker and I don't want to give them my contact info. Does this one have replacement parts to consider too?

@ Emily Hi Emily, great question. We are currently checking the possibility of ordering replacement parts and will get back to you shortly. I will email you directly if need be. Thanks again for the question as other people may be wondering the same thing.
