A Great ID-er

When you were a kid, your mom may have sewn those custom clothing labels into shirts and bags for school or camp. Or, to save a little time, she may have used a laundry marker. Which means, ID-ing your things either took a lot of time, or didn't look very good. Paco Navaez, a father of three, uses Minestamp, and not just because he came up with it. With Paco's invention, labeling anything from books to uniforms to backpacks is as simple as one press. The resulting ID stamp is clean and clearly legible, using wash-resistant textile ink. Each Minestamp is yours to personalize, with a set of letters and numbers included and a pair of tweezers to help you set them. With up to three lines of text, add name, address, and phone number or email. More than one child? Simply change the letters for different names. Or, you can save time and just pick up one Minestamp for each kid. Slide a photo or illustration inside the handle of each Minestamp as a fun way to keep them sorted. This quick, simple way to label your kids' items looks and stays sharp. If only everything about kids were this easy.

@Paco The first thing I thought of when I saw this was how great it would be for marking my mom's clothes in the nursing home! Now if I can just figure out how to put a label on black clothes & socks, I'd be all set! Thanks for the great product!

@Marianne Hi Marianne and thank you for showing up! No doubt that MINEstamp is probably one of the best and easiest solutions to mark all belongings. You set the name in seconds, stamp your ribbon with a click (make sure to do it on a flat surface first) and then just iron! Your name in seconds! Best wishes to your mom!

@Wayne Hi Wayne and thank you for your question. You can mark your garments directly with just one click. Since the ink is black, for dark garments we recommend to use the white ribbon included. PACO,

Love the product but would recommend you also offer a version with white ink. I have 3 kids and labeling all their clothes to send them to sleep away camp is quite a task. I currently use some peel and stick labels, white iron on labels and ink transfer labels (you use an iron to transfer the ink to the fabric) that come on a roll to complete the task.

  • Paco
    Paco – Special Guest
    6/23/2015 2:46 PM

@Marcy Hello Marcy. We also had the same thought when we started to think about the product and we investigated about white ink (even yellow, or orange... to contrast with dark textile) and the fact is that white ink does not stay as long as black ink does. So... we decided to have the best ink in the market at the date. With our solution you need nothing but the garment/paper/leather, etc. you want to mark and your MINEstamp kit. And that's it! start marking :-)

  • Sophia
    Sophia
    6/23/2015 4:35 PM

@Paco I think white ink would still be useful, even if it only lasts 5-10 washes it'd still be great for camps and travel. The only thing would be to note clearly how long it lasts. Having to use a white strip that you have to attach to dark clothing defeats a bit of the ease of use. There's also neon colors, to point is that it'd be great to have one for lights and one for darks. Thanks.

Minestamp

Customizable Clothing Labeler

A Great ID-er

When you were a kid, your mom may have sewn those custom clothing labels into shirts and bags for school or camp. Or, to save a little time, she may have used a laundry marker. Which means, ID-ing your things either took a lot of time, or didn't look very good.

Paco Navaez, a father of three, uses Minestamp, and not just because
he came up with it.

Thanks.

It says you can add your own picture, how do you that?

I sew out of my home and would love to put my logo on it.

@Tisa Hello Tisa and thank you for asking. MINEstamp uses special ink which is wash resistant and lasts in normal temperature and humidity conditions for over 1000 printings and more than one or two years.

@Jen Hello Jen and thank you for asking. MINEstamp's ink is to stamp porous materials such as fabric or paper. Nevertheless we have tried it on other surfaces such as a mobile phone or a computer and, after 24 hours when the ink dries out or if you want quicker results you can use a hairdryer, the ink remains!

    Hello everyone!

I bought this stamp in Spain some years ago and it is just fantastic!! Very useful to mark any belongings. Really glad you can get it in the US now.

My daughter's full name has 6 a's (as well as multiple double letters) and her "nickname" and last still has 4 a's. Could someone at Grommet please list out the letters and the number of each?

There are two questions in this thread about it and right now the lack of info is making me hesitate to order...

You are in luck, Jill! Minestamp comes with 12 a's (21 if you want to use a's with accents) and 6 complete alphabets. It also has three complete sets of numbers 0-9. Hope this helps!

How do you request name on stamp

Hi Mary Ann, there is no request process for a name on Minestamp, but you can insert a photo or name card in the cover! In terms of what the stamp reads, that is completely customized by you!

@Mike Hi! MINEstamp comes with a set of letters so that anyone can set a text in seconds and start marking. It is a DIY device. As Mike says, you can also personnalise the outside of the stamp by loading a picture or a logo here. It's easy and it's a nice gift too!
