A fabric statement necklace is the best of both worlds—major visual impact, without the weight. Greek lighting designer Alexandra Tsoukala creates these necklaces with remnants from her lighting installations, using pleated strands inspired by Greek sculpture. The result is a fluid piece that catches the light and moves as you wear it—and showcases all of the shades at once.

  • Materials: Satin polyester blend fabric
  • Care: Hand wash with cold water
  • Each necklace composed of eight thin, pleated fabric strands
  • Lightweight, stretchy and durable fabric
  • Dual-sided, multi-colored strands
  • Unique pleated texture
  • Compliments both casual and elegant styles
  • Hand assembled in Greece with materials sourced from China
  • Dimensions: 22" x 3" x 0.5"
  • Weight: 0.04 lb.

The necklaces are so light and can be combined in any number of ways.

Beautiful and unusual necklace.

Love this unusual necklace! Since I am a petite, it's almost too long to wear w/o doubling, but there is plenty of length to double. It's light as a feather and the blue/silver colors all show from around your neck. Would make a wonderful & unusual gift.More > < Less

How can a fabric necklace be so bold?

About Minimum Design

Sculptural Fabric

Normally statement necklaces are chunky and heavy. So we were delighted with the fabric statement necklace by Minimum Design. The bold, dimensional designs give off different colors depending on how they catch the light.

Crisp, tiny pleats bring each strand to life, giving it movement. The satiny fabric is dual-sided, adding layers of color and shine so that the necklace looks different depending on how you drape it—or what you’re wearing. It hangs beautifully worn long or doubled up.

Lighting designer Alexandra Tsoukala is known for creating whimsical, structural shapes out of fabric. Inspired by the ancient Kore sculptures in her native Greece, which feature pleated details, she designed these necklaces. They’re handmade with fabric remnants from her lampshades.

Alexandra thinks of her necklaces as movable sculptures, and we agree. Each is a wearable piece of art that will light up your look.
