Like a Glove

MintCases are true American originals. Handcrafted in Texas, these handsome leather sleeves fit Apple laptops and iPads perfectly. Founder Brady Hawkins fashions each sleeve from Ohio top grain cowhide leather. He uses top grain leather for its sturdiness and character. As it ages, it looks even better. Then he lines it with soft wool felt from Massachusetts, which protects devices from scratching. Finally, he embosses a handsome MintCases logo onto the leather as a finishing touch. Brady made the first MintCases pocket for himself, after he couldn’t find a pre-made case elegant enough for his new MacBook. He started hand stitching them for others, eventually moving to a larger mill studio in McKinney to meet demand. For anyone who appreciates the refined design of Apple products, a MintCases sleeve is a perfect pairing for your laptop or tablet.

I am Brady Hawkins, I’m proud to have started MintCases with the goal of offering you elegant cases for your Apple products. The extensive research I did before creating these cases was born of a desire to create something the market was truly missing-- something functional, yet attractive enough to suit my needs. I wanted a case that was worthy of the beautiful lines and clean design of my computer, but that also embraced the sense of style I identify with, and didn’t add much bulk to the sleek, portable devices. So I decided to do something about it and designed my own case.

I really dislike that tech cases and accessories are always designed for Apple products.

@Maureen I do plan on making designs for other products in the future. Apple makes it easy because there are only a handful of different sizes that allow me to cover their full line of products. You should see more options available in the future though.

It seems like the device could fall out one end. Also how does it protect the device inside?

@Jon I have designed these cases to fit pretty snug. If you try to get it to fall out, that could happen, but it is designed to be snug enough that it won't fall out while carrying it.

Great idea! Any chance you will expand this to PC based laptops from major manufacturers like Dell?

@Jeff That is definitely something I would like to do in the future. I see that there is a demand for other devices other than Apple and I plan on expanding in the future.

@christopher Genuine leather is a lesser quality of leather and is made by splitting off the top layer. The top layer is what is used for better quality leather like top-grain leather.

@Kevin Unfortunately I cannot do custom orders at this time. I want to make sure all of my products fit perfectly, and without having the 17" MacBook, there is no way to accomplish that.
