Accessories Hanger

The Perfect Figure Eight

Don’t you just hate it when your ties slip off the hanger, your scarf drawer looks like a parachute pile and your favorite belt is behind the shoe rack keeping company with the dust bunnies? Mobe to the rescue.

This bent plywood accessory hanger, created by UK designer Dan Hoolahan, is a study in beautiful form followed by down-to-earth function. Named after the famous Mobius Strip (a non-orientable sphere shape), Hoolahan
brings a sophisticated look and improved utility to a mundane item. Each scarf, tie or belt will hang elegantly from the Mobe. The hooks are made from powder-coated steel.

A work of art all by itself, the Mobe hanger becomes even more decorative with your accessories draped artfully from it.

Grommet Launch Conversation

  • Dan

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to have my accessories hanger featured on the Grommet. It is the first product I've launched and marks the beginning of an exciting new venture with loads of other product ideas in development. I would love to answer any questions you have, however I'm based in the UK so please forgive me if the time difference means I can't respond right away!

Dan, Looks like a great idea. I struggle with keeping my ties organized. How many ties do you think I could hang from each Mobe?

    Thanks, Mark

@Mark , its difficult to be specific as to how many ties it will hold, though I would say around 10 ties you'd still be able to keep them organised and find the one you want easily. It would certainly take more than that if you needed it to but some underneath may begin to be slightly more difficult to get at.

    Hope that helps, Dan

Although you refer to the Mobe as a hanger for ties, scarves, and belts, I do not see how belts would hang...other than to be looped around and buckled. My hubby would rather just hang his belts on a hook & be "done" with it. Can you advise? Looks great for his ties and my scarves!

@Susan , Usually just looping a belt over will do it. Some may prefer to buckle the belts but I haven't needed to personally with my belts. Of course, if you had a belt with a heavy buckle you may need to hang it so the buckle is higher up so it doesn't slide off. I understand some may prefer to use a hook but iv aimed to offer a nice alternative. And it does have the advantage of not needing to be screwed to anything.

    Thanks Susan,
