My Recovers
Boot and Cast Covers

Cover up

Grommet Launch Conversation

Hi! I’m Kelly, the founder of My Recovers. After spending quality time in an ugly orthopedic walking boot, I ended up creating a fun – and functional - cover to hide my “moon boot” (and exposed toes). It not only alleviated the everyday problems that arose, but I also found that the fun patterns made me feel so much better about how I portrayed myself.
Now we offer boot covers and arm cast covers in all styles, for all occasions, and even weather covers. I want people to know there’s a better way to approach recovery and, dare I say, have some fun with it! -
Can you make them chew-proof for dogs? Marty
-
Thanks for the question, Marthina. These are vary durable, especially the weather cover option, but it does depend on how tough of a chewer you have. Kelly will have a great answer for this and she should be here shortly to provide further clarification.

Hi, Marthina. I have a mischievous golden retriever so I can appreciate your question. As Amy mentioned, our weather covers would be the most resistant to piercing dog teeth. I'm not sure anything is chew-proof, per say, but here is a picture of a happy customer (and her dog's litter of puppies).

How cool is this! As a recently sling wearer for a rotator cuff surgery, this is that gift to a gramma that could be adapted to a wine bottle cover as well. Animal lovers would make good customers as they indulge their pets with sweaters and such. Good luck in your creative venture! NapaGram

@Barb Hi Barb - I like your creativity! You are on to something. We've gotten several requests from veterinarians asking us to make cast covers for their 4-legged patients. I hope you're surgery days are over but, if not, we're here for you!

What a fantastic idea! I only wish I had known about your product 6 mos ago when I was wearing one of those hideous black boots! I'll be sure to tell my foot doctor about these. I'm also going to pass your info along to the Child Life Specialist at our Children's Hospital.
I'm also a dog lover, so I agree these would be a great product for dogs. I'll pass this on my dogs' veternarian. -
Thanks for your strong support, Pam.

Hi Pat. Thanks so much for spreading the word about our products. And I'm glad your own experience in a walking boot is over (hopefully for good!).

A cover to put over a bandage for a dog would be excellent. My dog had surgery on paw . Had to keep dry so every time he went out gauze ,tape, them plastic bag , tape & a sock secured by a Velcro band / just to go out, then remove all the stuff when he came. Bandages& tape& plastic got trashed each time, sock got dried for next time. A paw cover would have saved me !!!

Believe it or not, they actually exist but, who knows, keep watching your Daily Grommet emails - you may be witnessing a new Grommet in the making!
