Personal Charms

These inspirational charms for keychains, necklaces, or bracelets are meant to add some positivity to your day. The family behind them has worked hard to find the silver linings—even while facing adversity. When Susan Zuker’s husband was battling cancer, she and her son, Jonathan, found comfort in day-to-day affirmations. Their idea for the first charm—a key with a space for a lucky penny—happened after a friend told Susan that every time she found a penny on the street, it was her husband watching over her. From there, they’ve expanded to many different pewter charms—from old adages to cheerful reminders—that are Made in the USA. You can house them on a companion braided leather keychain. That’s American-made, too. Even the keepsake box that houses each keychain has significance. It features a replica of the painting “Safe Harbor” by Jonathan. The original hangs in Mass General hospital, where his dad received much-appreciated treatment. Whether you’re weathering a personal storm, or just want to add a cheerful reminder to your day, these charms let you instill your own meaning.

@Jeannine thanks for checking out our Keycharms and loops! We make these in the USA and are careful about how we craft everything. It certainly would have been a cheaper route to have everything manufactured overseas, but we love keeping it local and supporting our community. Plus we know our entire production process inside and out, include the great people that are part of our team! We know the final product looks and feels great, and is indicative of all of the hard work that goes into crafting each one! Thanks for the feedback!

What a wonderful way to tell your story. Whenever I find a penny I feel as though my Dad is watching over me.

I will be ordering a keychain as soon as I decide which charms I want to put on it.

    Best of luck.

You and your mom are very special people.

@Whitney That's just we we are hoping to hear. These charms inspire us and so if they can have that affect on others, especially those heading out into the world, it means the world to us! It will hopefully help them to count their blessings and give them courage to always be able adjust their sails!

I was hoping to see the clasp work in the video - is it magnetic, screwed together or how is kept together. Most key chains are a bear to get your keys on, this looks easy, but wondering how strong it is. Thanks. I love everything about this!

@Brenda It took us a while to find the right clasp for these keychains. It's called a 'Bayonet Clasp' and the two ends lock in securely together. You have to press a secure button to release the keychain. I've been testing my original for over a year and it has stayed really secure and durable. It stays well on bags, on belt loops, and has a really high quality jewelry finish. I'll try to get a video over to The Grommet to show how they work! Thanks so much!
