Pretty in Pom-Poms

Little details can make a big difference, like the pom-pom fringe and crinkled texture of these irresistible scarves from Natural Life. Company founder Patti Hughes, who’s a photographer, designer and mom of three girls, has an eye for adding fun and colorful elements that distinguish her work. The decorative tufts that line the edges of her pom-pom scarves add some whimsy and flair to the cotton wraps, which are incredibly versatile. You can wear them with jeans or a favorite dress for a dash of color. Or, wrap one around your hips to create a funky belt or a beach cover-up. The lightweight material won’t weigh you down, and the pom-pom scarves make great traveling companions since they’re already deliberately crinkled. Best of all, the price makes it easy to justify a one-for-you, one-for-me giving strategy.

    I purchased one of these as a gift and was very surprised that they were made in CHINA.

    (Admin Paraphrase of original post):Commenter does not agree with working conditions in China and wonders why Natural Life has chosen to advocate a carefree lifestyle by wearing products made in China.

    @curious: We want you to be happy with your purchases from Daily Grommet. If this product isn't a good fit with your convictions, you can return it. We love finding and featuring Made in the USA products as well.

    @Katherine Klinger:

    Interesting that you censored my comment, but allow sellers to misrepresent the products they sell (they do not make them directly as it appears.)

    You not only edited my comment about where the product was made, but edited the direct quotes I included from the Natural Life staff, which pointed out the discrepancy about what they say and what they do.

    I tried to contact Daily Grommet directly, but never received a reply, which is why I came to this public forum.

    Luckily the product I bought as a gift was well received (not enough time for exchange or refund.)

    And I was never discourteous, just stating what I thought to be the facts.

    It's good to know the the workers in China are treated well, but wonder why local workers couldn't be treated well,as well.

    @curiouser: We're glad that your gift was well received. We know that it would have been more precious to you had the item been made in the US. When I edited your post, all of the quotes you added were to show a contradiction based upon your assumption that the items were created by people who do not have a great life because of their working conditions. I did want to keep the essence of your question intact, but if you felt that I haven't done so please feel free to re-post.

    Dear Curious,

    We at Natural Life share your concern for the welfare of everyone on this planet, especially our partners overseas. We care that they provide excellent working conditions and adequate pay and benefits, so our team has personally visited them to see for ourselves that this is happening. We sincerely appreciate how much you care and hope we have eased your concerns.
