Athleisure

With the “athleisure” trend of workout clothing as comfortable, everyday wear, many of us want to wear our exercise gear year-round. nicepipes’ athletic leg warmers and arm warmers provide warmth and look great doing it. Founder Lisa Binderow is a fitness instructor and longtime yoga student. After moving from California to NYC, her cropped yoga pants and tops weren’t warm enough anymore. nicepipes were her solution. These Made in the USA “pipes” are spun from the same soft, stretchy fabric blend as yoga pants. The moisture-wicking, breathable material keeps you cool and dry in the heat, while providing mild compression. nicepipes also serve as an extra layer in the cold, keeping your muscles warmer and ready for action—warm muscles are more flexible and less prone to injury than cold ones. For exercising, running errands, or just to pull an outfit together, pull on a pair of these pipes and you’re ready to go.

Do you make them for men also? I'm a handicapped guy with Becker muscular dystrophy and I could use them just to keep my arms and my legs warm!

@Billy Yes, we have many male customers! The compression component will keep you really warm and they are easy to pull off if you need to lose a layer.

Are these made with neoprene fabric? Broke out in a terrible rash once when I wore something with neoprene.

@Yvonne Hi Yvonne! Our leg & arm warmers are made from Supplex, soft like cotton fabric made from nylon. I have not had any problems with skin irritation nor have any of our customers. Hope this helps!

Would these leg warmers work well for cyclists? I have leg warmers that tend to fall down.

@MJ Hi Mj! Our pipes are perfect for Cyclists. They do not fall down, they are super warm but breathable so you can wear them through your whole ride. Many of my friends who commute on bikes have said our leg & arm warmers are their ulitmate layer for Fall, Winter, & Spring!

One size fits most pretty much excludes me, as I am chunky, especially in the legs. I am disappointed that there is no accommodation for a variety of people - after all, we don't all come in one size. What are your plans for the future?

@Linda Hi Linda! The great thing about this Supplex® fabric is that is has a four way stretch that can fit most sizes. I would suggest you trying the product out before being sure that it won't fit. That being said we absolutely agree, we don't all come in one size, and thank goodness for that! We are working on new products all the time and thank you for your feedback!

Hi Lisa: I'm interested in your leg warmers but as an under garment from the hip to below the knee for a long leg orthopedic brace. Does the material stretch to the size needed for the upper thigh just below the buttocks?

@David Hi David! Absolutely, the material stretches to fit and is slim enough to wear under a garment. I actually use it under dresses in the winter!

Question - are they waterproof - chlorine proof? Can I wear them in the cold pool for water aerobics to keep my legs warm?

Hi Andrea, Answer - they are not waterproof and I am not sure about chlorine-proof. The material is the same as yoga pants, so if you have worn yoga pants in the pool with success, these will perform the same.
