Small and Mighty

Don’t let the tiny size fool you. These mini LEDs give off major light. Their diminutive size is a big advantage, since it makes them easy to carry anytime, anywhere. The SpotLit provides a bright light that’s set into a stainless-steel carabiner. You can attach it to key rings, backpacks, dog collars and more. It’s bright enough to read by, and it operates in two modes: steady and flashing. For more flexible attachment options, the BugLit LED micro flashlight has two sets of bendy “legs” that you can twist, wrap and grip for optimal positioning. It fits in tiny spaces and has a carabiner so you can hang it from just about anything (belt loops, handlebars, tent lines). The BugLit operates in four modes: high power, low power, strobe, and signal. Both flashlights come from Nite Ize, a company that specializes in outdoor lighting and utility gear. Entrepreneur Rick Case founded the company in 1989 after he tried to carry a mini flashlight in his mouth during a fishing trip and wound up dropping it in the water. He was inspired to come up with better hands-free lighting options, and the rest is history. Most flashlights are too bulky to carry around all the time, but SpotLit and BugLit are so lightweight, you’ll forget you’re carrying them until you need more light. Then they’re ready to shine.

I discovered the BugLite a couple years ago and purchased them for the kids, teens and some adults on my list for Christmas 2011. It was a huge hit with everyone and I still get comment about them! I highly recommend this very versatile and fun product.
