Ollyball®

Living-Room Safe

Ollyball Makers Joe and Ellen Burke let their three kids play with a soccer ball in the house—which of course lead to disaster. So the Burkes got to work creating a living room-friendly ball made specifically for indoor play. Five years and lots of iterations later, Ollyball bounced onto the scene. It’s kind of like playing with a balloon that won’t pop. The ball is lightweight and built to take the spikes, tosses, and throws kids aim at it, and gently land wherever it’s aimed. That magic comes from a shock-absorbing inflatable (and re-inflatable) core wrapped inside a durable kite-like material shell. Kids starting to lose their mojo? They can take a break from playing and color the ball in with markers or crayons.

Quick Questions

What should I use to color my Ollyball?

Use crayons or a permanent marker. Note that if excessive color is used, the ink may damage the outside of the ball.

What if I poke a hole in my Ollyball?

The outer shell of the Ollyball is a semi-permeable material that does not hold air.

Should I deflate my Ollyball if we’re not going to play with it for a while?

No, it’s best to keep the ball inflated.

Can it get wet?

Yes, you can even throw the deflated ball in the washing machine.

How does it work?

The Ollyball is built with patented KrunchCOR™ construction that dramatically absorbs impact while retaining the shape and physical properties of a ball. The ball is engineered to be hit at full-force indoors.

What is it made out of?

The outer shell of the Ollyball is made of a lightweight material used on high-performance kites. The bladder is BoPET. The OllyBall doesn’t contain any PVC, latex, BPA or phthalates.
