Ostrich Pillow

Napping Pillow

Sleep Tight

Sometimes all you need is a power nap—after a stressful day; to counter jet lag; or for a chance to relax. The Ostrich Pillow is a dream come true. Burrow your head and arms into its cozy “cocoon” and you’ll be in dreamland before you know it.

Created by Studio Banana Things, a brand that puts the fun in functional, the Ostrich Pillow puts a new spin on relaxation. Recognizing that we spend so much time at work, in front of
the screen or in transit, they created this new pillow to help us disconnect and dream. Power napping increases productivity by 34%. This pillow isolates the head and the hands comfortably so you can relax and replenish.

Great for frequent travel, the dorm, the desk, or home, the Ostrich Pillow is like that comfy old sweatshirt you just can’t part with. Block out the noise, the light, and the world for a little catnap. Snooze and awake refreshed.

Hey Grommet Nation, Ali with Ostrich Pillow here.

Ostrich Pillow is designed to allow you to create a little private space within a public one, to relax and unwind. Its soothing soft interior shelters and isolates your head and hands (mind and body) for a short break, without needing to leave your desk, chair, bench or wherever you may be.

So go ahead and take a nap!

That is so clever...I applaud you but at age 70 and retired - don't need a napping pillow - got a big empty house...lol

    Hi Sheila,

You may have an empty house, but doesn't mean you can't be more comfortable napping:)

I truly love the idea, but I'm not sure I could get any sleep with my co-workers giggling and taking pictures of me...

@Samantha Who'd know it was really you?

I think that this is a brilliant idea, Ali - long overdue. (Just posted it on Facebook for several thousand of my best friends to see ;) )

No offense - but I don't feel too many people would want to wear this pillow wrapped around their head out in general public. Interesting concept but looks too odd.

Thanks for the feedback, Catherine. We realize it may be silly, but sometimes that's ok. The Grommet is so supportive of interesting products with good stories behind them - this one fits the bill pretty well for us.

This looks like a Far Side cartoon, "Always one to sacrifice style for comfort, Eloise realized she may have gone too far this time."

    The product information states:

"Please note: Do not machine wash, tumble dry, iron, bleach or dry clean"

Take special notice this is hand wash and air dry only! It looks like it would not dry easily or quickly which could be an issue while traveling. Other then that I think it would be great to have on a plane for the over night flights.
