I’ve found that a good table runner is the solution to a surprising number of problems. For instance: I don’t have a maid. (A good table runner provides a little decorative pop without the upkeep of constantly having to wash tablecloths. Because my family’s plates don’t necessarily touch it, it stays tidy meal after meal.)I don’t have a decorator. (Like changing up throw pillows on a neutral sofa, switching my table runner is the fastest way to update the style of my dining area.)I have no budget for new furniture. (A table runner can elegantly mask the dings and other unsightly marks on my otherwise lovely dining room table.) I have no time for Martha Stewart fussiness. (A pretty table runner adds an element of festivity to an otherwise frill-free family dinner.)
And I love these gorgeous handmade runners that the Daily Grommet team discovered from Couleur Nature. They’re the slightest bit seasonal, and not in a corny harvest-cornucopia-Santa-sweater kind of way. And, best of all, they’ll work whether your interior is classic, shabby chic, traditional, eclectic, or country.
Is anyone else out there as into runners as I am?
