Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams are the handiwork of Jeni Bauer, who earned her culinary stripes in a local French bakery and fell for the pure European flavors she discovered there. That experience helped define the sophisticated, exotic flavors her business creates — like the irresistible Salty Caramel, which was inspired by the bakery’s traditional French caramels, made from slowly burnt sugars with cream and a little salt. Aficionados have been known to make pilgrimages to Jeni’s hometown just for the Salty Caramel. We’re just as smitten with Jeni’s complex and unexpected Cherry Lambic Sorbet, which perfectly melds sweet and sour, effervescent lambic beer on the mid palate. Jeni’s uses only local, organic products, including milk from grass-fed cows.
