Pump up the Volume

It can take years to find The One. And when you do, you’ll want to cast aside all the others and tell your friends that you’ve fallen in love — with the perfect line of hair products.

The one for us is Living Proof, which was founded by a team of MIT scientists and beauty experts who set out to apply cutting-edge research to vexing hair problems. We featured Living Proof’s revolutionary No Frizz line last summer, and now the scientists have developed a new formula for giving life to limp hair. If your problem is Frizz there’s a special offer here.

The thickening cream is called Full, and it works with all hair types to create fullness that looks and feels natural. You can even run your fingers through your hair — without the fear of collapse or crunchy residue you get with other products. In fact, the more you run your fingers though it, the more body and fullness you’ll create. The special ingredient is Poly Beta Amino Ester-1, a new compound discovered by Living Proof to place thickening points on each strand. Full is lightweight so it won’t weigh down even the most fine hair, and it has a fresh citrus fragrance from natural orange extracts.

We first heard about Living Proof from Val Fox (who works at Fashion Playtes, a past Grommet that lets girls design their own clothes). Ever since the No Frizz formula won us over, we’ve been anxiously awaiting Living Proof’s thickening cream.

The wait was worth it, as Jules found out when she had her hair styled by Mitch DeRosa, one of Living Proof’s founders and the owner of the Mitchell John Salon in Boston.“I was shocked at how much body, bounce and volume my hair had,” Jules says. “Honestly, I hardly recognized myself and felt like I suddenly transformed into a lady who lunched, with the amazing hair to match.”
