The creators are recent college graduates (photo, left to right) Jason Wilk, Saachi Cywinski, and Sherwin Kim. The trio liked using traditional whiteboards for study sessions but were shocked to find out how much freestanding whiteboards cost. They set out to develop an inexpensive alternative and worked with chemists to formulate a vinyl “sticker” material that costs as little as one-tenth of the price of a traditional whiteboard.
WhiteyBoard’s founders thought about the environment, too. Using WhiteyBoards can help to reduce paper usage. Also, to offset the impact of producing WhiteyBoards, a portion of each sale is donated to an organization that plants trees. Easy on your wallet, easy on the environment — now that’s something to get inspired about.
