Bedol

Maker - Mark Bedol

Maker Story

H2O Timekeeper

There aren’t a lot of reasons to get excited about a device that interrupts precious sleep time, but this alarm clock is different. It keeps time without using batteries or cords. Instead, it’s powered by one of Mother Nature’s big four elements, water.

Bedol Water Clocks have a reservoir for tap water, and the technology converts ions in the water into clean energy power. Just replace the water every 4 months or so, and it’s ready to run.

The creator is Mark Bedol, who learned from a friend about harnessing water power. It’s a more eco-friendly resource than traditional electricity, and it’s a more convenient alternative to battery power since you don’t have to worry about running to the store to replace the batteries. Plus, the Bedol clocks look great on your nightstand. No ugly cords, just smooth, fun shapes rendered in vibrant colors. It’s great design that’s eco-friendly -- now that’s a timeless combination.
