Maker Story

A New Approach to Securing Your Tie

CLIP OFF's tie magnet is a modern approach to the tie stay. Maker Daniel Hall noticed that when using a traditional tie clip, he was constantly looking for mirrors to check and reposition his tie bar. He searched online for a solution to this daily annoyance but couldn't quite find what he was looking for. Some clips were effective but were a pain to take off. Some used magnets but he was concerned by the likelihood of losing the magnetic fasteners. He wanted something that was easy to use, secure, and affordable.

He began playing with different designs, settling on one with two key parts: one part that connected to the back of the tie and one that connected to the shirt. This would secure both garments to your person, eliminating any risk of misalignment. Daniel’s final product offers the functionality of tie clips, pins, and chains, while remaining secure, comfortable, and invisible. Simply clip and forget it, your tie will stay inline all day.
