Maker Story

Put A Lid On It

Earthlid was brewed up by Maker Gary Ross, a surfer and ocean conservationist. While he noticed strides being made to minimize straws and other elements of to-go beverages, he realized that plastic lids were not being addressed. He learned that single-use coffee lids are made from plastic that can’t always be recycled. Rather than have the lids—often used everyday—end up in landfills or the ocean, Gary set out to create a more ecological (yet equally convenient) alternative.

Gary’s reusable silicone lid works with most common sizes of to-go coffee cups and it creates a leak-fighting seal that protects from spills and knockdowns. Environmentally friendly, durable, and easy to clean, the Earthlid is the perfect replacement for plastic and it comes with its own quick-dry bag, so you can always have it on hand.
