Maker Story

Hold The Fold

The idea for FLXCUF Sleeve Garters came to life during a time when Maker Jay Fuller was required to wear a dress shirt everyday for his job at a bar. He always rolled up his sleeves while working, but they looked sloppy, constantly fell down to his wrists, and by the end of the night they’d be wrinkled and stretched out. He tried using rubber bands to prop them up, but they would cut off circulation in his arms and didn’t look great either. When he realized he’d need to come up with a new accessory if he wanted to avoid this headache, he started working on designs for his own solution.

It took two and a half years to find the right combination of materials and stretch to give the FLXCUF garters a comfortable fit, eventually settling on knitted elastic with a synthetic leather trim. The end result was a simple yet effective way to stay looking classy, even when it’s time to roll up the sleeves and get to work.
