Accessorizing Earbuds

Plain white earbuds are everywhere these days -- a blank canvas to designers Anne Herlihy and Mark Zimmerman. They saw an opportunity to transform ordinary earbuds into stylish tech accessories. Just as smartphone cases have become expressions of our own personal styles, Anne and Mark envision the same for headphones.

The two handcandy co-founders have created a fun, vibrant line of necklaces that are really headphones in disguise. The necklaces are made with lightweight wood, resin, plastic and glass beads, and each has a discreet built-in microphone for hands-free talking. A magnetic clasp is easy to operate and strong enough to keep the necklace securely and comfortably in place.

Earbuds are always on display, as we walk down the sidewalk chatting on the phone, or make a run for coffee while listening to music. Combining jewelry and earbuds is a new way to accessorize that’s not only stylish but also functional. Set a stylish tone with handcandy headphone jewelry.
