Founded by New York moms and friends Nora and Angela, KORISSA is on a mission to inspire shoppers to purchase more consciously through environmentally and socially responsible handmade goods. All of KORISSA’s handcrafted products support and benefit artisans in low-income communities, providing them with fair wages that ensure education, healthcare, secure livelihoods, and new possibilities. KORISSA partners with four Fair Trade Certified artisan organizations in Bangladesh and two small indigenous communities in Ecuador, working to build sustainable relationships while preserving the history and culture of the communities. All products are made with locally-sourced and eco-friendly materials—with the added benefit of being beautiful. The team of designers at KORISSA find inspiration from the distinctive artisanal heritage from each locally-sourced region. These lovingly-made products infuse culturally-rich designs in every piece.
