Laser Pegs

Maker - Jon Capriola

Maker Story

Light Up

Dozens of toy building pegs plus tiny LED lights equals glow-in-the-dark awesomeness!

Laser Pegs is the world's first lighted construction set, and the building pieces light up and flash when you connect them. You can build toy models -- with fun names like Wicked King Cobra, Robo Mutt and Baja Jumper -- or create your own free-form designs. The multicolored lights add a new dimension to your bug-eyed monsters, and your four-wheeled vehicles will glow like supernatural transporters.

Jon Capriola, father of twin toddler boys, is the inventor of Laser Pegs. There are all sorts of translucent pegs in the 72-piece kit, including straight pegs, squares, t-shaped elements, wheels, and 45-and 90-degree angles. Each plastic peg has a colored LED light inside. When you snap the pegs together, it sends a low-voltage current between the pieces, providing the power to light the pegs. The set also includes a power base, cord and 3 AA batteries to operate the lights.

You can follow the instructions to build Jon’s models, or you can make your own one-of-a-kind designs. For kids and grownups alike, the possibilities are endlessly illuminating.
