Tony started Lumanella with some fellow Albuquerque architects to pursue a goal of creating ecological and economical products. Tony’s animal candle holders are spritely and fun, not overly cutesy. For the holidays, his Christmas tree candle holders are subtle and modern; they capture the spirit of the season while maintaining a fresh, contemporary vibe. Likewise, his menorahs are stunning with a modern, sculptural quality. The designs are sophisticated and minimal, yet they create maximum impact.
The entire collection is made in the U.S. from laser-cut stainless steel. Tony and his partners are inspired by the challenge of designing products that use minimal resources and environmentally sensible materials. Each Lumanella piece is an heirloom that’s meant to be passed down for generations. The flickering flame is a call to gather with friends and family, Tony says. His warm candlescapes make it easy to turn any event into a festive occasion.
