Maker Story

Pen & Paper 2.0

MobiScribe is a paper-free solution to taking and sharing notes. As an engineer in Silicon Valley, Maker Hugo Chien was a copious note taker. The act of writing—not typing—helped his creativity, but loose paper lead to clutter and lost thoughts. So he made a digital solution that would better record and revise ideas, but still maintain the feeling of putting pen to paper.

The WiFi-enabled digital notepad uses E-ink technology and a pencil-like stylus. The interface is smooth and precise and closely mimics a writing-on-paper experience. When you’re not jotting notes, lists, or sketching, you can use MobiScribe to read eBooks and check email. Its anti-glare, high-contrast screen is easy on the eyes, and a deliberate lack of distracting features (hello, video) helps keep users focused.
