Maker Story

Flexible Squeegee

One Pass Water Blade got its start helping to clean cars, but this squeegee’s uses (and usefulness) extend beyond the driveway. It’s made from medical-grade silicone that’s safe on surfaces and flexible to better handle clean-up jobs on countertops, shower doors, windows and more.

Silicone is durable and bendable and because it won’t harbor bacteria or mildew, is a smart choice for a squeegee—so you know you’re cleaning cleaner. And it has 15 times less drying friction than a towel, so it’s safer for surfaces. A graspable ergonomic handle makes maneuvering easier and the patented Y-bar edge quickly whisks water away.

Maker Don Varner is a big-time car guy. He’s spent his life building and customizing hot rods. While prepping for national championship car shows—which included a whole lot of washing, waxing, and wiping—he decided to create a better way to remove water that was safer for a car’s fancy finish. The result is this water blade fit for the detailing job and many more.
