Maker Story

Step Right Up

Rightline Gear gives you a step up to get you closer to your car’s roof. Maker Zach Brown and his wife Alyssa loved spending time outdoors, especially skiing. But Alyssa wasn’t tall enough to secure skis to the roof rack when Zach, a paramedic, wasn’t around. He invented a smart step that lets anyone get the height needed to access roof racks and cargo more easily and safely.

The sturdy aluminum step hooks onto the door jamb and can handle up to 400 pounds. It’s large enough to fit both feet so you’re steady when doing things like securing gear or even washing the car. When your work is done, the step stows away in the glove compartment.
