Seedsheet

Maker - Cam MacKugler

Seedsheet
Made in the USA

Maker Story

Ready to grow

With this garden sheet set, growing your own herbs, flowers, or veggies is (almost) as easy as unpacking and unrolling.

Even if you have little space or know-how, Seedsheet is designed to help your gardening ambitions succeed. Each sheet is a weed-resistant tarp that contains strategically spaced seed pouches. The position gives each plant enough room to grow.

Also, certain seeds are placed near one another, a technique called companion planting, which acts as a natural form of pest control. For instance, planting tomatoes near particular herbs can keep worms at bay.

Maker Cam MacKugler’s background in architecture and green living informed the idea for Seedsheet—a combination of technology and design. He sketched his first prototype with crayons while he was house sitting an 80-acre farm.

Spread the sheet on readied soil—like you would a picnic blanket—then mist the fabric as directed. The fine, food-safe film on the pouches will dissolve. (It’s similar to the thin coating on over-the-counter capsules.) In a few weeks, you’ll be celebrating your own gridded, non-GMO garden.
