Takenaka

Maker - Rina Yoshida

Takenaka

Maker Story

Boxed Lunch

The venerable Japanese company Takenaka specializes in making high quality consumer goods, and their Bento Boxes are no exception. Unlike other mass produced Bentos, Takenaka's feature on-trend colors in high gloss finishes and are microwavable and dishwasher safe. Each box is meticulously coated with multiple layers of paint that are mixed and prepared by Japanese artisans.

Packing a Bento is an organized, mess-free way to keep wet and dry food separated and fresh, without disposable plastic or paper bags. Individually sized they control portions too. Put some salad in one box, fill another with rice or pasta, and maybe pack a dessert too.

The simple boxes are roomy, but compact, and stack efficiently in a tote, briefcase, or knapsack.
