See While Hands Free

Maker Steve LaBuzetta was having a difficult time filling the gas tank in his snowblower one winter. Without a proper light source, he was unable to gauge the right amount of gas to pour and would often end up over-filling the tank. He started holding a flashlight between his teeth so he could see and still use both hands, which wasn’t quite the most efficient or hygienic method.

Eventually, he was able to leverage his knowledge of lighting techniques as a former advertising photographer to create a far better solution: the Handy-Lite, a small LED light that clipped to the spout on his snowblower, illuminating the gas tank while allowing him access to both his hands. Steve partnered with his wife Tricia to develop the Handy-Lite, and to this day the husband and wife team takes pride in creating local jobs for their community in Rochester, New York.
