Maker Story

Around The World

Tribute Products Maker Matthew Scheffler is passionate about travel, and he wanted to create a more authentic and personal way to collect and document all aspects of a trip’s story.

Inspired by his mother putting a little sand from Yankee Stadium in his baseball bag during little league, Matthew carried on the tradition of collecting small keepsakes throughout his life. Around a decade later he gifted his partner and co-Maker Gretchen Kellogg an empty vial and told her to put the world in it. That was the beginning of The Atlas Project. With their refillable travel journal and places visited map, the duo want to help folks capture the whole story of a trip. From small mementos to colored-in destinations, the goods can all travel with you so the documenting happens in real time.
